MEGA MAN MEETS MEGA MAN X
                                    Chapter 0: Prologue
The now-ancient ruins of Doctor Thomas Light's lab, the year 2122.
A group of Mavericks, which consisted of Sigma, Vile, Storm Eagle, Duff McWhalen, Toxic Seahorse, and Tornado Tonion, were visiting Dr. Light's ruined lab.   "So... this is the place where Blue Boy was melted together out of scrap metal and soda cans." Vile remarked.   Sigma elbowed him in the stomach.   "Be quiet.   We're here to find pieces of the old Robot Masters from the 21st century." Sigma told him.   "Yeah, Vile, we're here to--" Storm Eagle began before Sigma elbowed him in the stomach.   "All of you... be quiet.   If I hear one more word, I'm going to melt you all into slag.   Just keep it embedded in your memory chips that I've got Magma Blade armed and prepared to fire." Sigma said.   That easily shut them all up.   "Now that that's over, I've got some jobs for you.   Eagle, Tonion, you search the place for any odd-looking parts.   Seahorse, McWhalen, you check the sewer systems beneath the building.   It could possibly be a murky resting place for Light's creations.   Vile, you're coming with me.   We're checking Light's supercomputer to see if he left any schematics in there before he evacuated the place.   Now, let's move, people!   We haven't got all day!" Sigma commanded.   We're going to follow Sigma and Vile, because their story is the most interesting.   They found the supercomputer and hacked into it with the password "Rock 'n Roll".   They found several schematics for Bomb Man, Guts Man, Cut Man, Elec Man, Ice Man, Fire Man and every other Robot Master--but they remained completely uninterested and were about to give up until Flash Man's schematic popped up.   Sigma stopped yawning at looked up.   He skimmed through the files until he found a file on Flash Man's weapon, Time Stopper.   "Vile, download the Time Stopper schematic onto this disc.   We're going to try and build a time machine by combining the Time Stopper's qualities with 22nd century technology." Sigma demanded, passing Vile a floppy disc.   Vile jammed it into a slot in the supercomputer and they waited a few minutes.   While they were waiting, their communicator (which was exactly the same as a cell phone, only you couldn't do anything fancy-schmancy on it.   It was mostly used for military purposes) started beeping.   Sigma took it out of a pocket in his utility belt (which had a stylish Σ on the front pocket) and pressed a green button marked TALK.   "Hello, Sigma here, who is this?" Sigma asked speakingh into the communicator.   "This is Toxic Seahorse!   I am in immediate need of assistance!   The Maverick Hunters have found out we're here, destroyed Duff McWhalen, and--oh, no!   No, please, Zero--don't do it!   For the love of--" Toxic Seahorse pleaded.   Sigma and Vile were unable to hear the rest because the transmission cut off with a KSSCCHH! noise.   "Oh, scrap.   X and his Idiot Squad are here!   We have to evacuate the area, pronto!" Sigma cried.   He pressed the red END button and shoved it back into his utility belt pocket.   "Vile, summon your Ride Armor." Sigma asked.   "Why in the name of Cain Industries do you want that junkpile?" Vile asked rudely.   "Just deactivate your voice box and summon it." Sigma told him.   Vile pressed a button on the back of his head.   A few seconds later, it smashed into the lab.   Sigma closed his eyes and concentrated.   "What the heck are you going to do with my Ride Armor?" Vile asked.   "You'll see." Sigma replied.   His eyes suddenly jolted open--and immediately faded to black.   A purple haze started to flow out of Sigma's body and into the Ride Armor.   "I still don't understand your plan." Vile said. A blue hologram of Sigma's head popped up over the Ride Armor.   "Oh, now I get it!   You transferred your conciousness into the Ride Armor, making it easy to escape!" Vile remarked.   "Marvelous.   Now, can you put my body into the Sub-Space Storage Cube?" Sigma asked.   By the way, a Sub-Space Storage Cube is a cube that is a gateway to a pocket dimension with an unlimited amount of space, making it an ideal place to store things.   Vile obediently dropped the stiff, lifeless body into the Cube.   "Could you also drop the floppy disc containing the Time Stopper schematics in there?" Sigma asked.   Vile did exactly as he was told.   Sigma picked up the Cube and grinned evilly.   "Wait, how do I escape?" Vile asked.   "So long, sucker!" Sigma replied, laughing maniacally.   He blasted off, making a hole in the roof of the building.   "You jerk!   I'll get you, even if it's the last thing I do!   You hear me?   I'LL GET YOU!" Vile screamed.   "I seriously doubt it!" Sigma called back.   Vile screamed angrily.   At that moment, X burst into the room, pointing his X-Buster directly at Vile.   "Halt!   You are under arrest!   Put your hands behind your head and get against the wall!" he cried.   Vile, being so frustrated at the entire situation, just groaned and got against the wall.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I have had to cancel MEGA MAN MEETS MEGA MAN X.   It was beginning to become boring working on it, so I stopped... like, in 2007.   About mid-2007.   So, yeah, I've started working on other stories, and I may or may not post them here.   Stay tuned!   :)
                        Chapter 1: Unfortunate Events
An enormous junkyard in Monsteropolis, the year 2017.
Mega Man was, once again, fighting one of his greatest enemies, his own equal, the robot known as Bass.   "Bass, what do you want?   The world was doing so great in 2016, after that last fiasco with King in 2015... why'd you have to come back and disrupt the peace again?" Mega Man asked.   "Isn't it obvious?   Dr. Wily and I won't rest until you're in little, tiny, microscopic pieces, and the world is ripe for the conquering!" Bass explained, laughing like a madman.   "Well, that's why Dr. Light is here!   To make sure I don't end up in little, tiny, microscopic pieces, and the world never becomes ripe for the conquering!" Mega Man shot back.   "Oh, you're good.   You're very good.   In fact, I bet you think you're so good that while you're busy gloating, you can't avoid my Bass Buster!" Bass cried.   Bass fired his Bass Buster at Mega Man, who, without any sign of emotion slightly edged toward the left, completely escaping the wrath of the Bass Buster.   "Huh?   How can you be totally unharmed?   You were blasted by the Bass Buster!   You should be lying in pieces all over the junkyard!   That's specifically why Dr. Wily sent me to fight you here!   So that no one would have to clean up the scrap metal that was formerly your body when I got through with you!" Bass cried.   "Um... yeah... sure... whatever.   Can we just get this over with?   Star Trek is on tonight, and I haven't seen this episode yet, so could we just... you know... pretend I won and leave?" Mega Man asked, yawning.   "NO, WE CANNOT PRETEND YOU WON AND LEAVE!   That's stupid!   I want to finish you off right now, so that I never have to put up with you ever again!" Bass screamed.   "Okay, sure, whatever you want.   I'm game.   Star Trek doesn't start for another hour, so I guess I have enough time." Mega Man said.   He changed his hand into the Mega Buster, charged up--and fired at a pile of junk that was tottering dangerously over Bass.   The junkpile fell quite easily.   "What the--?   What's that rumbling noise?" Bass wondered.   He turned around and faced the wave of scrap metal that was about to fall right on him.   "Oh, scrap." he mumbled.   The junk fell on him and literally pressed him into the ground.   He exploded a few seconds after the junk stopped falling.   The explosion also caused all the junk to explode.   "Well, that settles that.   I've got a date with an episode of Star Trek." Mega Man said, walking off.
Meanwhile, in the Maverick Hunters HQ, the year 2122...
X is interrogating Vile, whose hands are strapped together with energy bands that prevent him from using them.   His shoulder cannon has been packed with a strange, gooey, blue substance that was created specifically for disarming criminals that prevented him from using it.   "Alright, I'll ask you one last time... where is Sigma?" X asked.   "And I'll tell you one last time, I have no idea!   He left me behind in Light's lab when Toxic Seahorse alerted us of your presence!   He smashed through the ceiling and took off!   He didn't tell me where he was going!" Vile hissed.   "Well, you should've told me that a lot earlier.   It could've made the situation a lot less painful for the both of us." X replied.   "Alia, can you take Vile to a maximum-security cell?" X asked.   "No problem." Alia said over the intercom.   X walked out of the interrogation chamber and watched as Alia teleported Vile to Max-Cell 6B.   "And don't even think of escaping, Vile.   The walls are each made of twenty layers of ceratanium, the toughest metal around." Alia told Vile through the intercom.   "Well, on the bright side, at least nothing here can surprise me." Vile said.   A loud (but distant) KATHOOM! noise made him rethink that statement and he screamed.   "W-w-what was that?" he wondered.   The noise kept repeating itself, and it seemed to get closer each time.   "What's going on?   What's that noise?" Vile wondered.   There was finally a SHOOM! noise, and it appeared that all twenty layers of ceratanium had been smashed in the back wall.   Sigma was standing in the spot where it all seemed to come from.   "Well, well, well.   I can't believe it.   Jerkma is here.   Crawling back to me, eh?" Vile asked.   "I am most certainly not.   I just need your help.   I need your technical knowledge to build the time machine.   I've only gathered a few parts, and I'm not even sure they're the right ones." Sigma revealed.   "Hmmm... that depends.   What parts have you got?" Vile asked.   "I've got a Quantum Flux Indicator, a chrono-accelerator, a flux capacitor, and a few Hypergravity Power Orbs." Sigma replied.   "How many Power Orbs?" Vile asked.   "Twenty-three." Sigma told him.   "We only need eleven.   Just give the other twelve to Gravity Beetle.   He'll make them into upgrades for himself, and he won't be so useless.   Can you free me?" Vile said.   Sigma walked over to him and blasted his energy bands with a small laser from his Mech body.   "You also need to remove the gunk from my cannon." Vile told him.   Sigma stuck his hand in, and pulled all the goop out.   "Good.   I'm free.   Bring me to the place where you're building the time machine and let's go." Vile said.   "Sure thing.   Jump on my back." Sigma said.   Vile did just that, and a few seconds later, they were flying through the skies of Mega City.   X and Zero burst into the cell only seconds too late.   "Oh, scrap!   Vile's gone!" X exclaimed.   "But how come the alarm didn't sound?   It usually sounds when there's a breakout..." Zero wondered.   "It usually sounds when there's a breakout.   Someone busted in here from outside.   I can tell.   Vile's cannon was packed full of Neptune Jelly, and there's nobody in the universe who can actually completely destroy Neptune Jelly.   The person who broke in must've removed it manually." X theorized.   "It's a good start, but who in the world would try and save Vile?" Zero wondered.   It only took them a second to guess the answer.   "Sigma." they said in unison.   "We could find him easily, but our teleportation systems were in for repairs recently, and I'm not that willing to risk blowing up." X said.   They thought for a moment.   "Say... didn't Douglas build us some sort of jetpack a little while back?   I think he called it the Skyslicer." Zero inquired.   "Hey, yeah!   We only used them once, though, when Sigma tried to rob that Robot Museum a while ago!   Let's try 'em out, see if they still work!" X said.   They ran off to go find Douglas.   Back in Sigma's lair (which was located in a cave on the outskirts of Monsteropolis), Sigma and Vile were finished the time machine.   "Finally.   The time machine is complete.   We just have to recalibrate the chroniton manipulator slightly... and... voila!   It is perfect!   Now we can go back in time and prevent X from ever being built by convincing Light that he'll become a maniacal madbot who takes over the world!" Vile shouted.   "I've got a better idea.   Maybe we should go back further in time and end the life of Light before he ever builds Blue Boy!" Sigma inquired.   "That's a fantastic idea!   Let's do it!" Vile said.   He pressed a green button marked START on the time machine, and a green vortex suddenly opened up.   Vile set the desired year to 20XX, and they walked inside.
